West Ham United have joined the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Leeds United in the race to sign Brentford’s Said Benrahma this summer, according to an exclusive report from Darren Lewis of The Mirror.
If Brentford are able to earn promotion to the Premier League via the Championship playoffs then Benrahma could well stay with The Bees but if they are unsuccessful in their attempts to make it to the top-flight, then it looks almost certain that the Algerian will be sold.

David Moyes is, according to the report from Lewis, ready to cash in on the likes of Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson in order to raise funds for new signings as he wants to change the culture at the club by bringing in younger, hungrier players.
Given the success of Jarrod Bowen, Moyes is apparently keen to target younger players from the Championship, rather than the big-money signings from abroad that have tended to disappoint at West Ham in the past.
Whilst fans are often keen to see their club make big signings, it’s fair to say that West Ham’s transfer business has been patchy at best in recent years so this new approach is certainly worth a go.
