Back in January, The Daily Star reported that West Ham were interested in reuniting Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic with Sebastien Haller.
Jovic was the strike partner of Haller when the duo were at Eintracht Frankfurt and the form of the duo earned them both big moves.
Haller made the switch to West Ham, while Jovic went to Madrid, but it’s fair to say that both have struggled to make a major impact at their new clubs.
West Ham were apparently offered the chance to take Jovic, a player they liked, on loan, but they decided against doing so.
However, maybe they should have made the move as the Real Madrid star has earned the praise of one of the best footballers of all time.
When discussing the 15 best rising talents in European football as part of a campaign with Topps’ football cards, as transcribed by Sport Bible, Messi said of Jovic:
[He is] a magical player who makes the impossible possible.

Jovic had an amazing season for Frankfurt, scoring 27 goals in all competitions, and despite his struggles in Madrid, West Ham were offered the chance to take him in January and it’s quite bizarre that they chose not to take up that offer.
West Ham find themselves in a relegation battle, and Jovic could have added some firepower to the Hammers’ strikeforce and if Lionel Messi is a fan of his, who are we to argue?
