Mark Noble has picked Steven Gerrard over Frank Lampard and Paul Scholes as his favourite of the trio and that has left many Liverpool fans delighted.
The three Englishmen are regularly compared to one another, with various pundits and fans disagreeing over who was the best during their prime years.
Noble admitted that all three were top players back in the day, but felt that Gerrard was the most complete.
Gerrard enjoyed plenty of great memories with the Merseyside club but famously never won the Premier League during his time at Anfield.
On the other hand, Scholes had incredible domestic and European success with Manchester United, as did Frank Lampard, who is Chelsea’s all-time leading goalscorer.
Noble took over West Ham’s official Twitter account on Wednesday and gave fans the chance to ask him anything, with one user asking him to pick the best from the three midfielders.
Noble’s response has gone viral on the platform, getting 16,000 likes and almost 4000 retweets.
These Liverpool fans on Twitter certainly enjoyed his reply.
