As reported by Claret and Hugh, Mark Noble has been voted as West Ham United’s greatest ever Premier League captain and plenty of Hammers fans have reacted to the news.
As stated in the report, the website ran a poll and Noble was the clear winner, getting over 48% of the votes from supporters.
The Englishman is still the skipper of the Hammers and has written himself into the history books of the club, with many fans terming him as “Mr West Ham”.
The midfielder has made 375 Premier League appearances for the London club, scoring 46 times in the process whilst also providing 33 assists (PremierLeague.com).
Noble has been the subject of criticism from some parts of the fanbase after a couple of poor displays but he finished ahead of Kevin Nolan in the poll, who received over 22% of the votes.
Many West Ham fans on Twitter can’t believe that Noble came out on top because they feel others are more worthy.
