Could West Ham’s Buendia interest spell the end for Wilshere?

According to Football London, West Ham United are interested in signing Norwich City midfielder Emiliano Buendia and we feel this could spell the end for Jack Wilshere at the club.

As stated in the report, the Hammers are likely to attempt to strengthen their midfield department in the summer transfer window with players like Carlos Sanchez expected to leave the club.

Wilshere is very injury prone and we believe the interest in Buendia could also signal the end for the former Arsenal man at West Ham.

David Moyes seems  eager to sign young players, preferably under the age of 25 and Buendia fits that bill as he is still only 23, so he holds the advantage over Wilshere in that aspect.

He is also a lot better in terms of fitness and remaining injury-free.

According to Transfermarkt, Buendia has only missed 18 matches in his club career because of injury, whereas Wilshere has missed 54 matches in just the last two seasons, resulting in some fans feeling that he is “finished”.

Additionally, Buendia is one of the most creative players in the top-flight.

Towards the end of January, Buendia had created the second most chances in the Premier League, behind Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, which shows that he is an asset attacking wise.

Therefore, we feel that if the Hammers do sign Buendia, it will be very difficult for Wilshere to get the playing time that he desires.

Buendia seems to be a fitter, hungrier and a more exciting option compared to Wilshere, who is taking valuable space on the wage bill by earning £100,000 a week, as stated on data website Spotrac.
