Wednesday marks former West Ham United attacker Mauro Zarate’s birthday and the club posted a tribute to the attacker on their official Twitter page, which many fans have reacted to.
The Argentine played 29 times for the Hammers, managing to find the back of the net seven times, as well as registering three assists (Transfermarkt).
Zarate joined West Ham from Argentinian side, Velez Sarsfield, in the summer of 2014, but spent the second half of the 2014-15 season on loan at Queens Park Rangers.
He was eventually sold by the club in January 2016 to Italian Serie A side Fiorentina for a fee believed to be £1.6m (Sky Sports).
Many Hammers fans have taken to Twitter to show that they still love the Argentine and some even feel that the club should never have allowed him to leave.
Many others also felt that he was underrated during his time with the London club.
