Former West Ham United man Trevor Sinclair has hinted that the Hammers are interested in signing Brentford star Ollie Watkins.
When speaking on the White and Sawyer show on talkSPORT (18/03/2020), Sinclair made a subtle hint about the Championship forward.
I believe one of my former clubs are looking at him.
He’s not a young player, he’s got great experience. He’s a great kid, he’s got that ambition and he knows there’s a bright future for him.

Sinclair’s hint could be great news for Hammers fans because some have been desperate for the club to make a move to try and sign him in the summer transfer window.
The Hammers have only netted 35 times in 29 league matches this season, whilst the Brentford striker has been in prolific goalscoring form so far this term, finding the back of the net 22 times in all competitions (Transfermarkt).
Therefore, judging by his record, we believe that the forward could increase the attacking threat that David Moyes’ side carries.
Furthermore, Watkins is very versatile as he can operate anywhere along the front line, which could prove to be useful to the Hammers because he could be used in multiple positions, like Michail Antonio is.
He was recently crowned the EFL Player of the Season at the London Football Awards (Evening Standard) so it seems like he’s ready to make the step up into the Premier League.
