West Ham want move for Besiktas’ Domagoj Vida
West Ham have been touted with a move for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida, according to reports from Turkey.
The defender is a target for the Hammers, according to Turkish outlet Takvim, with the player keen on a move away from Turkey this summer.
Vida has previously been a target for West Ham, with Sabah reporting that the Hammers made a £20 million offer after the 2018 World Cup, where Vida’s Croatia made it all the way to the final.
However, the bid at the time was rejected, with Besiktas wanting more for their Croatian enforcer.

The Hammers have had several issues at the back this season, and have conceded the joint-third most goals so far this season, with the Irons defence letting in over 48 goals so far this season.
Vida has a reputation as a hard-tackling defender, who despite his size is able to be very versatile across the box.
He can play in multiple positions, and has a host of experience in international football, picking up over 79 caps for Croatia.
The defender, therefore, could be a viable target for the Hammers, but it may depend on what division the Hammers are in next season.
Signing Vida could be very difficult for the Hammers if they were to go down, especially as they will not have the lure of Premier League football to bring the Croatian to the club.
