Lukasz Fabianski has promised to bounce back after having a disastrous evening against Liverpool.

The Pole had a horror-show between the sticks, allowing Liverpool back into the game with two big mistakes, before conceding a third goal that handed victory to the Reds.

However, speaking to whufc.com, Fabianski revealed that he has already put the game behind him, and that he is now ready to move on and help the Hammers avoid the drop to the Championship.

My mistake basically cost the team the three points. l did really well. We actually pushed Liverpool to the edge and I think if it was not for my mistake then we could have even won. I am really sorry that I let the team down tonight.

It was not [that I saw] anything late. I think the first goal and the second goal I should have done a lot better, because I was set, I was ready to react, and my hands were there. For some reason I just misjudged it or maybe I was a bit relaxed in those situations thinking that it was already caught or saved. It was me being a bit too relaxed in those situations, not really being aggressive with making saves.

I just apologised [in the dressing room after the game]. I do not think there is anything else I can say. I held my hands up and ‘I am really sorry for my efforts. I am the reason why we lost.

The Hammers’ number one may have made some errors, but that does not hide from what has been a good season for the Polish international.

Fabianski has averaged around 3.1 saves a game, picking up an average rating of 6.70 on Whoscored.

West Ham very much missed Fabianski when he was injured, with Roberto and David Martin not performing as well as him/

Therefore, wanting him to be dropped for one bad game doesn’t make much sense at all.

The Pole has admitted he wants to bounce back, and David Moyes should give him the chance to do so.
