West Ham fans react as Moyes confirms injuries for Yarmolenko and Fredericks

David Moyes has revealed that two players will not be available for West Ham’s clash with Liverpool on Monday night, with both Ryan Fredericks and Andriy Yarmolenko being unavailable for the match against the Reds.

The pair will both be unavailable, with David Moyes confirming in his pre-match press conference that both players will not be fit enough to make the tip to the North West.

Yarmolenko has been absent since the Southampton game, and has been struggling with a thigh problem ever since.

Meanwhile, Fredericks came off against Manchester City in midweek with a shoulder problem.

But Moyes did confirm that both players will be absentees for this Monday’s clash with the runaway league leaders.

He said, via whufc.com:

I can’t confirm exactly how long [Fredericks] is going to be out for, but we know that he’s damaged the ligaments in his shoulder and we’re waiting on more advice just to see what we think.

Obviously we’re doing everything we can to get him back as quick as we can, but I couldn’t confirm at the moment whether it’s surgery, I couldn’t confirm at the moment whether it’s just going to be healing time. We’re just waiting on another little bit of advice.

[Yarmolenko] has done a little bit of training. He’s joined us a little bit during the week, but he’s not really joined any of the main sessions like he’s not trained today with the group. He’s probably still a bit off from joining in.

Several West Ham fans took to Twitter to react to the news, with several unhappy that two injury-prone players are again on the sidelines in a crucial period for the Hammers.
