West Ham are reportedly fighting with Leicester City and Everton to land AZ Alkmaar winger Oussana Idrissi, according to a report from Calcio Mercato.
David Moyes’ side have been touted with a move for the Moroccan international, who has been impressive so far this season in the Eredivisie.
The winger has 12 goals in 22 appearances so far this season for the Dutch side and appeared in the Europa League against Manchester United.
Roma and Ajax have also been credited with an interest in Idrissi, who recently switched his allegiance from the Netherlands to Morocco after appearing for in the youth set up for Holland.
But, would he be a good signing for West Ham?
Idrissi has already shown that he is capable of being a consistent goalscoring threat from out wide, with the 12 goals so far this term.
He is also a very capable dribbler, with the Moroccan averaging over 3.4 dribbles a game this season, as per Whoscored.
This is something we feel West Ham could do with, especially with Felipe Anderson only scoring the one goal so far this season.
Robert Snodgrass may have grabbed five goals, but the Scot isn’t getting any younger, and may only have a few years left in the tank.
West Ham will be hoping that new signing Jarrod Bowen can provide some more goals, especially after his 17-goal season haul with Hull City.
Idrissi, we feel, could, therefore, be a potentially good signing for the Hammers.
But, as with any player linked with a move to the club, it obviously depends on whether or not Moyes can keep the Hammers in the top flight over the coming months.
