West Ham have reportedly made an approach to sign former Chelsea man Salomon Kalou.
But the news hasn’t gone down well with plenty of Hammers supporters.
According to German outlet Kicker, cited by the Daily Express, West Ham now want to sign the Ivorian from Hertha Berlin, with former target Krzysztof Piatek set to join the Bundesliga side before the end of the month.
David Noyes reportedly views the 34-year-old as the man to come in and boost his attacking ranks for the second half of the season as the Hammers look to avoid relegation.
Kalou has only made seven appearances for Berlin this season, scoring two goals. He’s occupied positions all across the front three in Germany in recent months, with Hertha currently sitting 13th after 19 games.
The experienced attacker won the Premier League, the Champions League, the FA Cup four times and the League Cup during his stay at Stamford Bridge, and it appears as if he could be in line for a return to London.
However, when these West Ham fans got wind of the news, they were left shocked.
