West Ham look set to make former goalkeeper Darren Randolph their first January signing.
However, the news hasn’t gone down well with a section of supporters.
The Hammers are edging closer to sealing a £4m move for the 32-year-old after agreeing a fee with Middlesbrough for his services.

Randolph will serve as back up to current first-choice shot-stopper Lukasz Fabianski after initially leaving the London Stadium in 2017.
The Athletic’s West Ham correspondent Roshane Thomas shared the news on social media on Monday, but the update didn’t sit well with these Hammers fans.

Twitter: @RoshaneSport @OliverKay A really needless move. It’s almost like he didn’t make any errors leading to goals when he replaced Adrian. (@Mark_Higgins69)

David Moyes will more than likely be a busy man this month, and even though a deal isn’t exactly an eye-catching one, Randolph’s proposed move could actually prove to be a shrewd piece of business.
Both David Martin and Roberto have shown in recent months that they can be suspect in-between the sticks, so having the reliable Randolph back at the London Stadium will provide Moyes with a solid back up option.
The Republic of Ireland international has been one of the Championship’s most consistent performers in recent years, and he won’t take long to settle back into West Ham life.
Supporters will now be hoping that Moyes can secure deals for various outfield additions, with the club’s attacking ranks looking like another area for improvement.
