West Ham have been linked with a move for Inter Milan striker Gabriel Barbosa in recent weeks but their bitter rivals Chelsea are looking to beat the Hammers to his signing.
According to reports, Chelsea have made an approach to Inter as they want to sign the Brazilian.
Barbosa, aka Gabigol, has been on loan at Flamengo and the Brazilian side reportedly want to keep him on a permanent deal, but Inter are looking to cash in and will sell him to the highest bidder.
Chelsea are allowed to sign players this month as their transfer ban was cut short upon appeal and it looks like Frank Lampard’s club will be active in the market.

When top players hit the market, there’s always likely to be plenty of clubs interested and that seems to be the case with Gabigol.
With both clubs offering the chance to live in a London, Gabigol could have a clear choice to make between moves to Chelsea and West Ham and at this moment, he’d probably prefer go to Stamford Bridge.
