West Ham have been linked with a new year swoop for Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland, and the news has gone down pretty well with the Hammers faithful.
Manuel Pellegrini has been tipped to strengthen his options in between the sticks over the coming months, and the 26-year-old has once again emerged as a possible target.
Butland has been linked with a move to the London Stadium in recent seasons but has stuck with the Potters in the second-tier.

West Ham Fan Zone shared @ExWHUemployee‘s claims regarding the club’s interest in the England international, and the news went down well with these supporters.

Lukasz Fabianski is slowly recovering from a torn hip and Roberto Jimenez hasn’t done himself any favours in recent weeks, so it’s easy to see why the club are interested in Butland.
Yes, he hasn’t had the best of seasons for Stoke, but over the past five years, he’s proven he’s good enough to compete at the top level.
A loan deal with a view to a permanent move in the summer would be a sensible approach for the Hammers, but whether or not the Potters would entertain that is another question.
