Fabianski sends message to Adrian after Liverpool defeat – should West Ham have sold him?

Fabianski has sent a message to former West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian after his impressive performance for Liverpool against Napoli in the Champions League.

Adrian did well for the Reds, but couldn’t stop them from falling to a 2-0 defeat against the Serie A side in their first group stage match.

Although he didn’t keep a clean sheet, Adrian made some great saves including a sublime reflex stop towards the end of the game, at the time keeping Liverpool in the match.

However, after the game West Ham star Lukasz Fabianski was quick to praise the Spaniard for his performance, commenting on his Instagram post.

Adrian left West Ham at the end of last season, going on a free after his contract expired. He was frustrated at the Hammers after not appearing much the previous season.

He then joined Liverpool as back-up for Allison, but has since come into the team after Allison suffered an injury.

Should West Ham have let Adrian leave on a free?

I believe that although he was a great keeper and servant to the club, it was time for the Spaniard to leave as he was struggling to solidify a first team place over Fabianski.

It was better for him to leave and start another adventure and although he was a great asset for West Ham, it was better that he left.

However, West Ham should have tried to sell him before his contract expired, as they shouldn’t have let such a great player leave on a free.

matchday.
