VAR has been a controversial addition to the Premier League this season, with fans up and down the country venting their frustration at the new system.
West Ham themselves have seen their fair share of controversy already, against Manchester City and newly-promoted Norwich most notably.
As cited on social media by @UberWestHam, it has now been revealed that the Hammers should’ve been given a penalty against Daniel Farke’s side earlier in the campaign.
This news has certainly not helped the animosity towards VAR and judging by the reactions online, these West Ham fans are still not admires of the system.

Get their act together before they cost a team 3 points. (@BubbleBlowerWHU)
Twitter: @UberWestHam What happens now then? West ham fine the PL, or we get a extra goal on our gd? No more than likely that they will do it again (@finhopley__)

Read West Ham verdict
After the difficult experiences that the club have endured with VAR this season, this is hardly the news that West Ham fans wanted to hear.
Much was made of VAR’s introduction over the summer and it is going to take time for the league and supporters to come to terms with the way it works.
There’s no doubt that there will be teething problems during its maiden season, but West Ham fans will be hoping that they fine-tune the system over the coming months to avoid repeats of situations like this.
