West Ham are being linked with a shock move to sign Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic, according to the Mirror.
The Croatian has been left out of Juventus’ Champions League squad and is expected to move from the club in January.
The rumour will come as a surprise to some West Ham fans and judging by these reactions on social media, it would be a move that divides opinions.
Hammers fan @brandon_gouge gives a balanced view on the matter, saying: “Would be a great signing but I’d imagine he’d have ridiculous wage demands.”
Meanwhile, @54fc875286444f7 wants to see it happen, simply tweeting: “Would be amazing.”
@KrayTito had some concerns about the player, saying: “We don’t even know what state he’s in quality wise.”
Not all supporters were on board, with @RussianHammers poking fun at the striker’s age, tweeting: “He is 59 years old, why?”

Mandzukic has been one of the more underrated strikers across Europe in recent years and it would be great to see him get a chance to prove himself in the Premier League.
However, West Ham fans are right to have some concerns over a potential deal for the Croatian.
He’d arrive at the London Stadium looking to start, even at his age and it’s unlikely that the Hammers would be able to gurante that.

He has a wealth of experience that he could offer to Manuel Pellegrini’s squad, with numerous domestic titles and a Champions League winners’ medal under his belt.
However, as one fan mentioned, his wage demands could be excessive and this would cast some serious doubts about a potential move.
