Javier Hernandez’s West Ham exit is getting nearer, with the Mexican forward set to sign for Sevilla.
The 31-year old was left out of the Hammers’ match-day squad to face Norwich, with the Spanish outfit pushing hard to get a deal over the line before Monday’s transfer deadline.
The Mexico international has experienced mixed times at the London Stadium, but it appears as though his time in London is coming to an end.

Estadio Deportivo (via Inside Futbol) claim that Hernandez is just one step away from putting pen to paper on a three-year deal at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
Sevilla will pay just under €10million to land the former Manchester United and Real Madrid man, and are expected to continue pushing hard to ensure they get a deal done in time.

It remains to be seen how wise it will be to let Hernandez go without the Hammers having time to replace him. Sebastien Haller and Albian Ajeti replaced Marko Arnautovic and Andy Carroll this summer, however the club already have one less forward than last year following Lucas Perez’ departure.
Michail Antonio is another option up front, while Andriy Yarmolenko can also play as a roaming forward. However, those two don’t have the natural poaching instinct that Hernandez does.
While he is far from his best, the Mexican does offer something different to Manuel Pellegrini’s side, and hopefully the club don’t end up regretting letting him go before a replacement can be found.
