The striker spent the 2018/19 campaign on loan to Middlesbrough in the Championship, but failed to hold down his place in the side – scoring just six goals in 37 league appearances.

Hugill signed for West Ham from Preston North End in January 2018 for a fee in the region of £10m, playing three Premier League games for the Hammers in the second half of the season.
The 27-year-old will now be looking to impress with QPR in the Championship and potentially prove that he still has a future at the London Stadium, or earn himself a permanent move to Loftus Road.
Hugill scored 30 goals in 114 games for Preston before his transfer to West Ham.
