West Ham continued their pre-season preparations with a 1-0 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The Hammers returned from their tour of Asia looking to bounce back from defeats to Newcastle and Manchester City respectively, and Manuel Lazini’s excellent first-half strike was enough to give Manuel Pellegrini’s side the victory.
Fulham came closest to opening the scoring through Ivan Cavaleiro early on, but his curling effort was saved brilliantly by Lukasz Fabianski.
Lanzini then put the Hammers ahead moments later with a fine effort from the edge of the area.
Club record signing Sebastien Haller and fellow new-boy Pablo Fornals both made their first appearances for the Hammers after joining up with their teammates earlier this week.
And Haller had two golden chances to double his side’s lead in the second-half, and mark his first appearance with a goal, but his close-range efforts were saved by Marcus Bettinelli.
Here’s how we rated the Hammers’ performance following the win over Fulham.
