West Ham are considering a bargain move to sign Danny Welbeck this summer following his release from Arsenal.
The London Evening Standard reports that the Hammers could hand the player a Premier League lifeline to act as a back-up to new man Sebastien Haller.
Manuel Pellegrini wants to add another striker to his ranks, despite spending big on the Frenchman.
The report claims that Welbeck was earning in the region of £115,000 a week during his time at Arsenal, so would be required to take a pay cut in order to join the club in a rotation role.

The club are also not ruling out looking into the loan market, but Welbeck’s Premier League experience could be an appealing prospect to the club.
With the likes of Lucas Perez and Andy Carroll departing the London Stadium this summer, Pellegrini is well aware that he needs to add depth to his squad ahead of the new campaign.
