Celta Vigo have also signed Valencia forward Santi Mina, which may have given them the upper hand over West Ham in negotiations.

West Ham had been heavily linked with a move for Gomez and reportedly agreed a transfer fee with Celta Vigo, but were unable to convince him to make the move to England.
He has now completed his transfer to Valencia and West Ham will have to move on to other targets before the end of the transfer window.
Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller has been touted with a £40m transfer to West Ham, after scoring 15 goals in the Bundesliga last season.
