West Ham and Tottenham look set to miss out on Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez, who looks set to join La Liga side Valencia.
According to Spanish reporter Hector Gomez, cited by the Daily Mirror, Valencia will secure the services of the Uruguayan for just €16 million in the coming days, with Valencia striker Santi Mina heading to Celta as part of the deal.

The news comes as a major blow to Manuel Pellegrini, with the Hammers boss desperate to bring the 22-year-old to the London Stadium this summer.
The 22-year-old, who was also attracting interest from Tottenham, scored 13 times in the Spanish top flight last season and was viewed as a perfect replacement to fill the void left by Lucas Perez and the departing Javier Hernandez.
However, West Ham will not be signing Gomez, meaning Pellegrini will need to head back into the market to find another dynamic forward ahead of the new season.
