Celta Vigo forward wants to sign for West Ham this summer after the clubs agreed a deal last month.
According to Sky Sports, Gomez is keen to join West Ham, despite some complications in the deal in recent weeks.
The report claims that the deal has been “difficult” and that Spanish giants Valencia are prepared to swoop in and snatch him up if West Ham fail to finalise the move.

West Ham and Valencia have both agreed a fee with Celta Vigo, which is said to be in the region of £29m.
Despite Gomez being interested in joining the Hammers, Sky Sports claim that he is yet to agree personal terms with the club, which could be the stumbling block at this moment in time.
Gomez scored 13 goals in La Liga for Celta Vigo last season, attracting interest from a number of clubs this summer – including West Ham ad Valencia.
