Manchester United are in talks to sign West Ham target Ozan Kabak from Stuttgart, according to German outlet Kicker, cited by the Metro.
There are a long list of clubs eyeing up a move for the highly-rated centre-back, who was a bright spark in which was a poor Stuttgart side relegated from the Bundesliga last season.
Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Schalke, Monaco and the Hammers have all shown interest in the 19-year-old defender.
The Hammers may feel they need to sign a defender ahead of the new season, especially with Issa Diop linked with a move away from the London Stadium this summer.
Manuel Pellegrini is also looking to seal a deal for striker Maxi Gomez, which would more than likely finalise the Hammers’ attacking transfer business.
However, Pellegrini is yet to draft in a defender, so the teenager could be the perfect signing with a release clause set at £13.5 million.
It would, however, appear that German champions Bayern Munich and United are now the joint-favourites for his signature.
Munich had previous interest in the defender back in January before he signed for Stuttgart from Galatasaray.
