West Ham striker Javier Hernandez is hoping to make the move to Spain this summer, according to the Evening Standard.
The Mexican is one of the top earners at the London Stadium, earning a massive £140,000-a-week.
Hernandez looks set to depart the club over the summer, with boss Manuel Pellegrini viewing the dynamic forward as more of a backup striker.
With just 12 months left on his current contract, the Hammers won’t receive the £16 million fee they paid German side Bayer Leverkusen back in 2017.
However, Hernandez, who has also attracted interest from new American side Austin FC, would free up the wage bill in London, which could be key in the Hammers’ pursuit of top target Maxi Gomez.
Hernandez has previous experience in Spain, spending time on loan at Real Madrid in the 2014-15 season where he featured 23 times, scoring seven goals.
The experienced forward will be keen to gain more game time and bring back his prolific form in front of goal, and Hernandez will be hoping that will be in Spain.
