Although the club have not officially confirmed the fee, they have claimed that it is the second most expensive signing in the history of the football club – only behind Felipe Anderson’s move to the London Stadium from Lazio last summer.
Fornals will join up with the West Ham squad for pre-season after he is finished competing in the under-21 European Championships with Spain this summer.
He becomes West Ham’s third signing of the summer, following on from goalkeepers Roberto and David Martin.
