West Ham United target Salomon Rondon is reportedly holding out for a return to Newcastle United this summer, according to The Chronicle.
The attacker is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, but he is said to be willing to delay his final decision to give the Magpies a chance to make a move for him.
Venezuela international Rondon enjoyed a great season on loan at Newcastle, scoring 11 times and assisting seven goals from his 32 top-flight games.
Newcastle reportedly do want to keep the West Brom striker permanently but are being forced to wait until matters are finalised behind the scenes with the future of Rafa Benitez and a takeover currently high on the agenda.

This will come as a blow to sides such as West Ham and Wolves, who were hoping to swoop in and sign Rondon from under Newcastle’s noses this summer.
Both clubs are likely able to offer more money to the forward at this current time, but the striker’s loyalty to the Magpies seems to have swayed the move in their favour.
One of West Ham’s main areas for improvement this summer is up front. Andy Carroll and Lucas Perez have already departed, and they need reinforcements in the attacking areas to add some more goals to the Hammers side next season.
