According to South American newspaper La Cuarta, cited by Sport Witness, West Ham remain strongly interested in Chilean centre back Guillermo Maripan.
Boss Manuel Pellegrini is reportedly a massive fan of the 25-year-old and the club are thought to be preparing a ‘mega bid’ for the centre back.

The rumours regarding Maripan and West Ham have intensified in recent months, with the Hammers keen on improving their defence.
However, Alaves’ stance hasn’t changed regarding the defender, with the La Liga side holding out for the release clause of €25million.
West Ham will be keen to add depth to their defence with them being extremely short of centre backs in their squad.
The Hammers finished 10th in the Premier League this season and they will be keen on pushing to get a spot in Europe.
Pellegrini’s side conceded 55 goals last season, a stat that must improve if they want to gain a spot in the Europa League.
