Everton have opened talks with Barcelona over a deal to sign West Ham transfer target Andre Gomes.
According to Mundo Deportivo, via The Mirror, Everton are now in discussion with Barcelona over the permanent signing of the Portuguese international.
This will come as a blow to West Ham, who are reportedly interested in signing Gomes ahead of next season.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side have been heavily linked with a move for Gomes and recently had an £18m bid rejected by Barcelona.
The report claims that Barcelona are looking for a fee in the region of £25m to allow him to leave the Nou Camp this summer.
Gomes spent the season on loan to Everton from Barcelona. He played 27 Premier League games for Marco Silva’s side, finding the back of the net once.
He joined Barcelona from Valencia in 2016 for a fee in the region of €55m, making 78 appearances for the Spanish giants to date.
