West Ham have made an £18m offer for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes as they look to land him this summer.
According to The Times, via The Mirror, West Ham are keen on a deal to sign Gomes ahead of next season.
Gomes is attracting suitors following an impressive loan spell at Everton this season from Barcelona.
The Portuguese international was a standout for Everton in the Premier League, impressing with his assured midfield displays throughout the campaign for Marco Silva’s side.
Tottenham are also said to be holding an interest in Gomes, which could blow West Ham and Everton out of the water – given that Spurs are in a Champions League final and regular top four finishers.
Gomes made 27 Premier League appearances for Everton, after missing the start of the season through injury, but the report does not state whether or not Barcelona will accept the offer.
