West Ham and Leicester City target Stephan El Shaarawy is set to undergo contract talks with Roma, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
This comes as a blow to the Premier League duo, who had hoped to make a move for the Italian.
The 26-year-old is out of contract next summer and West Ham had reportedly hoped to pounce to secure the attacker’s services for a reduced fee.
But as reported by Di Marzio, El Shaarawy’s brother, who is also his agent is set to undergo talks with Roma’s board this week about renewing his contract with the Serie A outfit.

It comes as no surprise that Roma are desperate to keep a hold of their player, despite the long-standing links to the Premier League.
The former AC Milan forward has made 25 Serie A appearances for Roma this season, where he has scored 11 goals and he has assisted five.
El Shaarawy has always shown natural ability ever since he came through the ranks at AC Milan.
But he has never been able to live up to very high expectations people had for him, as he was predicted to become one of the world’s best.
Despite this, he is still capable of causing lots of problems for any team on his day.
