West Ham’s inconsistencies away from home continued on Monday as they stuttered to a 2-0 defeat against Chelsea, and the Hammers now travel to Manchester United on Sunday having lost six of their last seven away from home in the league.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are five points adrift of Leicester City in seventh, and any hopes of finishing in a potential European spot are slowly fading; though the team finishing seventh in the league will only qualify for the Europa League if Manchester City win the FA Cup.
