West Ham face competition in the race to sign Genoa’s Christian Kouame this summer, as Napoli are understood to have agreed an initial deal for the forward.
According to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, the two Serie A sides have reached an agreement for Kouame, but are yet to progress further with the transfer, and West Ham are reportedly ready to table an offer for the striker.
Genoa have set an asking price of around €25million for the 21-year-old , who has impressed in his debut season for the club after moving from Citadella for a fee in the region of £4.5million in 2018.

Kouame has scored six goals and assisted four in 31 Serie A appearances this season, and the Ivorian played a key role in setting up Genoa’s second goal in the stunning 2-0 victory over Juventus last month.
West Ham have reportedly identified Kouame’s fellow Serie A striker Edin Dzeko as a potential target this summer.
