West Ham came back from behind to beat Southampton 2-1 at St Mary’s, despite only having enough fit players to name six substitutes on the bench.
Nathan Redmond opened the scoring shortly after half-time following a goal scramble, where the West Ham defensive line failed to play the offside trap.
However, within the next ten minutes the Hammers had turned the game on it’s head, with Brazilian winger Felipe Anderson first smashing a shot in at the near post from 18 yards out, then following it up by beating beat Saints’ defensive line with his superior pace before slotting home.
Three points leaves West Ham just five points behind sixth place Manchester United. The Hammers will now face the Clarets in their final game of 2018 at Turf Moor this weekend.
Here is how we rated the West Ham players from this fixture.
