West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed Lucas Perez is an injury doubt for the Fulham clash, Hammers. News reports.
Perez caught a knock in last weekend’s 3-2 win over Crystal Palace and limped off the pitch before later sharing a picture of his bloodied foot on social media.
West Ham will review Perez’s fitness before the Fulham match though the striker is likely to be absent for the Craven Cottage clash.
Pellegrini told his pre-match press conference:
Lucas Perez has a pain in his instep. We are reviewing it. Tomorrow we will know exactly who will be in the squad.
The 30-year-old Spaniard has four goals for West Ham in all competitions this season but now could be set for a spell on the sidelines.
Perez started the last league game for the Hammers but was replaced at half time by Andy Carroll – Carroll is still looking for his first start this season and now could be his opportunity.
