Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that he has previously held talks with Yaya Toure about a move to the London Stadium, but he is no longer a priority for the club.
The Ivorian midfielder was heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium over the summer and once again this week after it was confirmed that he had been released from Olympiakos.
Reports have claimed that both Toure and his agent were keen to return to the Premier League, with both West Ham and Crystal Palace sounded out.

With London in mind, West Ham were installed as favourites to sign the player due to the connection with Pellegrini.
It was the former City boss who brought the best out of Toure at the Etihad during his time in Manchester and the pair are known to still hold a good relationship.
Speaking to reporters ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures, Pellegrini brushed off suggestions a move is imminent.
It is not a priority. I talked to him at the start of the season, he’s a great player but we’re covered in that area of the pitch.
