West Ham are in the race to sign Miguel Almiron from Atlanta United, according to a report from Football London.
The Hammers are believed to be among a host of Premier League clubs who are keen to make a move for the 24-year-old following his impressive stint in MLS.
It was reported four weeks ago that West Ham had secured a deal to sign Almiron from Atlanta ahead of the January transfer window, with the American side closing in on Gonzalo Martinez from River Plate.

However, it seems these claims were wide of the mark, with the race for the Paraguayan international’s signature still firmly on.
West Ham are understood to be keen on adding a creative midfielder to the ranks when the transfer window opens, with Manuel Lanzini still some way off returning to full first-team training.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side will need to fend off competition if they are to land Almiron, though. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with respective moves for the player.
