West Ham defender Angelo Ogbonna has been linked with a return to Italy, with AC Milan and Roma said to be keen.
Calciomercato.it report that the Serie A giants are both on the lookout for added defensive reinforcements in the January transfer window, with Ogbonna featuring on their shortlist of potential targets.
The 30-year-old has not been a regular under Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham this season. Following their summer arrivals, Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena have been the generally preferred defensive partnership.

Ogbonna has made only five starts for the Hammers this term, with three of these coming in Carabao Cup fixtures.
It seems following the former Torino defender’s shortage of involvement in West Ham colours lately, speculation surrounding his future has emerged, with a return to Serie A now touted.
According to the report from Calciomercato.it, Ogbonna could be available in a cut-price deal. It’s claimed that Milan and Roma feel they could land the Italian for just €5 million in January.
The report also indicates that both clubs could explore a loan with an option to buy ahead of the summer transfer window.
