West Ham are reportedly trying to hijack talks for a deal to sign Roma and Italy winger Stephan El Shaarawy.
According to reports in Italy, the Giallorossi are trying to discuss terms over a deal for the winger.
Roma have been keen to strike a deal with the player as they bid to tie down his long-term future, but the Hammers are said to be keeping a close eye on the situation.

The report claims that the Hammers have tried to open negotiations with the player after previously registering an interest in his Roma team-mate Edin Dzeko.
West Ham were told that they would have no chance of signing the striker, despite increasing talk of a Premier League return, but that has not stopped them from returning to Rome for potential targets.
The Hammers spent big in Italy over the summer, signing Felipe Anderson from Lazio, who has become an instant hit since arriving at the club.
