West Ham are set to complete a deal for Atlanta United playmaker Miguel Almiron, according to claims from Paraguayan news outlet Ultima Hora, as translated by Sport Witness.
It’s reported that Atlanta have already made contingency plans as they look ahead to Almiron’s proposed departure, with Gonzalo ‘Pity’ Martinez likely to join from River Plate.
Almiron is a key man for Atlanta and is widely regarded as one of MLS’ most gifted players.

His form has prompted plenty of interest from Premier League clubs in recent times, with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur both linked with respective swoops.
However, claims from Almiron’s native Paraguay have indicated that a January deal between West Ham and Atlanta is in place, with the midfielder poised to sign for £25.7 million.
West Ham are not short of creative options but with Manuel Lanzini still sidelined and Andriy Yarmolenko recently sustaining an Achilles injury, it seems Almiron is a January target for Manuel Pellegrini.
