Loren Moron has explained that he never considered leaving Real Betis when West Ham tried to sign him this summer.
The Spanish striker was heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium throughout the transfer window but decided to stick with the La Liga side and renew his contract at the club.
Speaking to Estadio Deportivo, as cited on TEAMtalk, Moron reveals that he did not want to pass up the opportunity of cementing a place at Betis.
It is true there were several clubs who contacted me regarding their interest and we had one firm proposal from them [West Ham].
I did not want to throw away the opportunity I have here at Betis after moving through the youth system and playing for the reserve side. I let my agents know, I told my parents and friends and told them that my intention was to stay and continue here.

The Hammers were in the market for a striker over the summer and Moron was one of many players linked with a move.
Manuel Pellegrini wanted to add goals into his squad after the club relied heavily on Marko Arnuatovic to find the back of the net last season.
After signing a new deal, Moron saw his release clause in La Liga rise from €25 million up to €40 million.
