West Ham striker Xande Silva is set to miss up to six weeks of football with a hamstring injury.
Football London report that the striker will be out of action after missing West Ham’s U23s clash with Chelsea over the weekend.
The summer signing was believed to be on the verge of a place in the senior squad, but it has now been revealed injury was behind the reasons as to why he missed the London derby.

Silva joined the club this summer from Portuguese side Vitoria de Guimaraes and was expected to push for a place in the first-team squad.
With Manuel Pellegrini’s options in the final third already limited, the news will come as a blow for the West Ham boss, who may well have had his eye on Silva as a back-up striker or rotation option.
West Ham rejected several loan offers for the striker who has already scored five times this season at youth level.
