Edimilson Fernandes would be keen to make his move from West Ham to Fiorentina permanent in the near future, he has confirmed.
The midfielder was snapped up by the Serie A giants towards the end of the summer transfer window on a season-long loan, with Manuel Pellegrini deeming Fernandes as surplus to his requirements for the 2018/19 campaign.
Fernandes played a bit-part role for the Hammers last season and will be desperate to secure first-team football on a regular basis during his initial loan tenure with Fiorentina.

As quoted by Italian news outlet TMW, Fernandes discussed his plans for the future and alluded to his desire to remain with the Viola beyond his loan spell at the club.
I’m here on loan, but I want to work hard even if it is only for a year. I would like to stay.
West Ham completed the signings of Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez in the summer, further indicating that Fernandes’ position at the London Stadium will be under scrutiny for the foreseeable future.
