West Ham midfielder Jack Wilshere has revealed that Manuel Pellegrini reminds him of former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
Speaking to BBC’s Football Focus, as cited in a report from Football London, Wilshere assessed his start to life with West Ham following his summer move from Arsenal.
Following the expiration of Wilshere’s contract at the Emirates Stadium, several potential suitors emerged for the England international. However, he opted to link up with Pellegrini at the London Stadium and doesn’t appear to be regretting his decision.

Wilshere explained how Pellegrini has managed him since his move to the Hammers and even drew comparisons with his former Arsenal manager Wenger.
The midfielder spent many years working under the stewardship of Wenger and has revealed that he sees many different similarities between the Frenchman and Pellegrini.
He reminds me quite a bit of Arsene. His calmness, the way he wants to play, he wants to play out. He is a nice man and you can talk to him, talk to him about life, and that’s good for me and I can’t wait to get going.
Wilshere started in West Ham’s first game of the season against Liverpool but was helpless to prevent his new side from enduring a 4-0 defeat.
