Italian Serie A side Fiorentina have secured 22-year-old Swiss midfielder Edimilson Fernandes on a season-long loan from West Ham.
Fiorentina have paid a reported £1 million fee for the loan deal, along with a right to buy Fernandes should the youngster go on to impress at the Artemio Franchi Stadium this season, according to the London Evening Standard.
It is expected that Fernandes will fill the role vacated by Croatian midfielder Milan Badelj, who left the club on a free transfer to Lazio earlier this year.
Fernandes joined the Hammers back in 2016 after making 48 appearances for Swiss Super League side Sion.
During his time at the London Stadium, he made a total of 42 appearances, 28 during the 2016-17 season, including scoring his first goal for the team in a 2-1 defeat of Chelsea in the EFL Cup.
His season last year was limited to just 14 appearances, as a result of an ankle injury.
