West Ham are reportedly the latest club to express an interest in signing Roma midfielder Maxime Gonalons.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move away from Roma in recent times, with Premier League duo Crystal Palace and Everton having been touted as potential destinations.
West Ham, though, have apparently submitted an offer for Roma to consider in recent times, with a €10 million bid on the table, according to a report from Calciomercato.
Gonalons looks like he could be on his way out of Roma in the near future as the club continue to press ahead with their pursuit of Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi.

The arrival of his compatriot could leave Gonalons with no guarantees of first-team football under Eusebio Di Francesco, and it seems he will not be short of offers should he push for an exit.
However, Calciomercato do indicate that despite several proposals from Premier League clubs, Gonalons’ preference would be to return to his homeland of France to play for a Ligue 1 club in the upcoming season.
Calciomercato’s report claims that West Ham would push on with their attempts to land Gonalons from Roma if they do indeed sanction the sale of Pedro Obiang in the coming days.
Despite this, though, Manuel Pellegrini’s side could yet be in the market for another holding midfielder after Cheikhou Kouyate completed a move to Crystal Palace last week.
