Sampdoria have reportedly made a formal offer worth €9 million including bonuses for West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang.
It’s believed that the Hammers are prepared to sanction the sale of their Spanish midfielder, with Manuel Pellegrini pushing on with his plans to continue overhauling the squad.
Sampdoria’s interest in re-signing Obiang has been well-documented in recent times and according to fresh claims from Di Marzio, the Serie A outfit have firmed up their interest with a bid.

Obiang is understood to be open to the prospect of a return to Italy, with Di Marzio stating that if West Ham are to accept Sampdoria’s proposal, he will put pen to paper on a five-year contract at the club.
The Hammers are believed to be ready to part ways with both Obiang and his fellow midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate, indicating that the club could yet seek further additions in the middle of the park.
Whether West Ham will accept Sampdoria’s offer remains to be seen, but the Italian club’s bid is sure to provide the top brass at the London Stadium with some food for thought.
