West Ham United are set to battle it out against fellow Premier League side Fulham for the signature of Lille right-back Kevin Malcuit, according to France Football as reported by Get French Football News.
Neither West Ham nor Fulham are reported to have made an official bid for the defender, but both are open to submitting a concrete offer to Lille for their player before the transfer deadline on August 9th.
Inter Milan and Celta Vigo have both held talks with Lille over a potential deal for the Malcuit, however it is believed that both teams only want to take Malcuit on a loan deal with the potential to buy, whereas Lille only want to let the French defender go if it is on a permanent deal.
West Ham could also face competition from Valencia and Napoli for the player’s signatures, though both of those teams are too yet to make a formal bid.
